The Australian allrounder, who has been playing club cricket for Sandwich Town CC, will be available for the entire campaign
Kent have added James Bazley to their squad for the 2023 Metro Bank One-Day Cup.
The Australian will be available for the entire campaign, subject to regulatory approval.
The lower-order finisher and right arm fast-medium bowler joins the club having had a successful season for Sandwich Town CC in the Kent Premier League, hitting over 400 runs and taking 28 wickets.
In his native Australia, he is a key member of both the Queensland and Brisbane Heat squads and represented Australia at Under-19s level.

He is the second recent addition to Kent's squad for their title defence, joining Lancashire's Matt Parkinson. The spinner is joining Kent on a three-year deal from November but will make an early debut following his surprise omission from The Hundred
Bazley said: "I'm really excited to be joining Kent for their defence of the One-Day Cup.
"It's a great opportunity to play county cricket with a great club and I'm looking forward to joining up with the squad and getting started."
Paul Downton, Kent's director of cricket, added: "We're delighted to welcome James into our squad for the One-Day Cup.
"He has really enjoyed his time playing for Sandwich Town, and his all-round ability with the white ball will add to our competitiveness in the competition."
Kent begin their title defence against Yorkshire at Scarborough on Tuesday, August 1.
