The Australian quick has signed up for the entire 2023 competition, including the knockout stages. Last summer he took 13 wickets for Birmingham Phoenix in The Hundred
Kent Spitfires will have Kane Richardson available for their entire T20 Blast campaign after securing the arrival of the Australia seamer.
The 31-year-old is bound for his first spell in county cricket. In 2019, he agreed to join Derbyshire but pulled out of the stint following a World Cup call-up.
Richardson has a wealth of white-ball experience having played 25 one-day internationals and 35 T20Is for his country and featured in four seasons of the Indian Premier League. Currently, he is gearing up to represent Melbourne Renegades in the Big Bash League.

Last summer, the right-armer took 13 wickets for Birmingham Phoenix in the men's Hundred.
"Kent have a great T20 pedigree and I'm looking forward to the challenge of performing in the Vitality Blast for the first time," he said.
"I know the club has won both English white-ball titles in the last two years and it'll be my job to help us continue this hot run of form in 2023."
After a trophy drought lasting 14 years, Kent have scooped two white-ball titles in as many years. Last season saw them add the Royal London Cup to their Blast title won the previous season.

Director of cricket Paul Downton added: "We're really excited to have Kane join us for the whole T20 competition this year.
"He's an established international bowler who will bring a vast amount of experience to the club.
"His skill set is up there with the best and he will be an invaluable source of information to our young and developing seamers."
Kent kick off their Blast campaign against Gloucestershire on May 24.
