Josh Cobb has signed a contract extension with Northamptonshire which will keep him at Wantage Road until at least the end of 2024.
The 32-year-old, who joined the club from Leicestershire ahead of the 2015 season, has made 187 appearances for the club across all formats, scoring over 6,000 runs (four centuries, 43 half-centuries) and taking 57 wickets.
This season, Cobb has scored 289 runs at 41.28 and picked up one wicket in five LV= Insurance County Championship outings.
In the T20 Blast, during which he captained the Steelbacks, he added a further 347 runs (four half-centuries) and 14 wickets – his best haul with the ball since 2014.

"I'm pleased to be staying at Northamptonshire," Cobb said. "It's a great dressing room to be a part of. I've really enjoyed my time so far and would love to get the club back to playing more big games and finals.
"We made good strides forward in T20 this year and while it was very disappointing to miss out on qualification there's a load of really positive signs there to carry into next year.
"It's nice to be back involved in red ball a bit more, I've felt in good touch all year and the lads have competed really well in Division One.
"I just want to try and influence and win games whenever I'm playing. It doesn't matter if that's in whites or coloured kit."
Head coach, John Sadler, added: "Great to have Josh signed up with us for the next two years. He's a genuine multi-format player who still has huge aspirations to play all formats moving forward.
"He offers so much more than just his batting. He's hugely respected within the group and the club, so we're delighted to get him signed up."
