Jason Kerr has signed a two-year contract extension as head coach at Somerset to remain at Taunton until at least the end of the 2024 season.

The 47-year-old was appointed to the role at the end of the 2018 season and led the team to the Royal London Cup title in his first year at the helm.

Kerr's time in charge has also seen Somerset regularly push for red-ball silverware, while they reached the final of the T20 Blast last summer.

He said: "I'm incredibly grateful and delighted that I can continue my journey with Somerset. Every day I have the opportunity to shape the future of this great club, influencing the individuals to achieve their goals and represent the club in the Somerset way. We continually strive to push boundaries and punch beyond our weight."
