Teenage allrounder James Sales has signed a two-year contract extension with Northamptonshire.
The 19-year-old still had a year to run on his deal but will now remain at Wantage Road until 2025.
Sales debuted in 2021 and has since played 20 times for Northants, scoring 428 runs and taking eight wickets.
Part of the England side that reached the Under-19 World Cup final in February, he played in the youth Test against Sri Lanka at Derby in August.

"Wantage Road is like a second home for me, so I'm delighted to extend for another couple of years," he said.
Head coach John Sadler added: "James is such an exciting prospect and he’s proved that already with the opportunities he's had.
"He's a genuine multi-format all-rounder who’s just getting better and better the more he plays and he's really growing into his role in our squad.
"That's only going to continue in the next few years so we’re delighted he’s committed to that being with Northamptonshire."
