Brooks will be available for Sussex's LV= Insurance County Championship matches against Glamorgan and Derbyshire
Jack Brooks has joined Sussex on a short-term loan from Somerset.
The 38-year-old seamer will be available for the club’s upcoming LV= Insurance County Championship matches against Glamorgan and Derbyshire.
Brooks has taken 498 wickets in 141 first-class appearances since making his debut in 2009, 11 of which have come in two appearances this season.
He will still be available for Somerset in the T20 Blast during this period.

Explaining his decision to recruit Brooks, head coach Ian Salisbury said: "Jack is a tremendously experienced bowler, and with the injuries to our bowling attack will be a great addition to our team for the next couple of County Championship games.
"With nearly 500 first-class wickets he will be a welcomed addition and will no doubt help out the young bowlers in our squad."
Sussex have struggled with for bowlers in 2022, deploying 17 different players – including Pakistan wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan – in their opening six matches. Henry Crocombe is currently the club’s leading wicket-taker with 11 wickets.
Somerset's director of cricket, Andy Hurry, added: "With first XI Championship opportunities limited at this time for Jack, we felt that it was important for him to be playing the highest level of competitive cricket. This short-term loan mutually benefits both him and the club.
"This loan will give him the perfect opportunity to not only play first XI cricket, but also to maintain his match intensity ahead of what will be a busy climax to the domestic season for us, and we very much look forward to him returning back to us."
