Harry Brook has committed his future to Yorkshire, admitting "I want my whole career to be here".

The 23-year-old recently signed a five-year contract extension which will keep him at Headingley until at least the end of the 2027 season.

Brook, who made his debut for Yorkshire in 2016, has made 117 appearances for the club in all formats, scoring nearly 5,000 runs and taking nine wickets.

In 2022 alone, he has already scored 926 runs in seven LV= Insurance County Championship appearances, taking him to the brink of Test selection, and 384 T20 runs.

Commenting on his future plans, Brook said: "It was a very easy decision, and hopefully my whole career will be with this club. I’ve always wanted to play for Yorkshire since I was young. All my family are in Yorkshire, and we’re very tight-knit.

"First and foremost, I’m looking forward to the next five years and what that might bring. Hopefully we can get a few bits of silverware in there.

"It’s exciting and always nice to be at home."

Several big names are set to leave Yorkshire at the end of the season, including David Willey and Tom Kohler-Cadmore, but Brook is excited to be at the heart of the club’s rebuilding process.

"There’s been a lot of stuff happening in the last few years – ups and downs," he said.

"We’re losing a couple of players, but that’s part of the rebuilding process. Hopefully a few of us up there in that changing room now can be the heart of that and drive it forwards for the next few years."
