Mohammad Abbas will join Hampshire on a two-month contract at the start of the county season.
Abbas, the prolific Pakistani seamer, will represent the club in the County Championship during April and May.
The 30-year-old joins Kyle Abbott in Hampshire's overseas ranks, and brings with him a wealth of Championship wickets.
Abbas has previously enjoyed two successful stints with Leicestershire - in 2018 and 2019 - during which he claimed a combined 79 wickets at an average of 20.67, with five five-wicket hauls.
Giles White, Hampshire director of cricket, said: ““We are really excited about the arrival of Mohammad Abbas.
"He is a bowler of the highest quality and to secure him for an early season Championship stint is a huge boost to the squad. He joins Kyle Abbott as our second overseas signing and we are hopeful that they form a formidable pairing in early season conditions."
