Glamorgan have appointed former player Dan Cherry as chief executive following the retirement of Hugh Morris.
The 43-year-old made 65 appearances for the county and was previously the head of operations. He has also acted as interim chief executive.
Morris' departure came at the end of 2023 after a decadelong tenure in the role.
Cherry oversaw the development of Sophia Gardens to become an International venue in 2008 and was responsible for the operational delivery of two Ashes Test matches, several matches in the 2019 World Cup, as well as Hundred fixtures at the venue.
"Dan has been a vital part of Glamorgan County Cricket Club for over 20 years as a player and administrator," said club chair Mark Rhydderch-Roberts.
"He has the unanimous backing of the board, and his skills and ability are recognised and respected by our members, sponsors, partners and stakeholders, together with our players, coaches and staff."
Rhydderch-Roberts added that Cherry's period as acting CEO had brought experience and stability at a time of significant operational and cultural change.

"Generational change is possible in cricket over the next year or so if the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), on behalf of the first-class counties, decides to welcome international investment into the game through The Hundred tournament," he said.
"With Dan's excellent relationship with the ECB, and Sophia Gardens a Hundred host venue and franchise holder through Welsh Fire, Glamorgan Cricket is well placed to benefit from this development."
Cherry said: "It is a huge honour to have been asked to lead Glamorgan County Cricket Club. Glamorgan is in my heart and has been a huge part of my life for over 20 years, and I am confident that with an excellent team around me, we can realise the potential of this great club.
"I am very grateful for the opportunity and look forward to working with our board, our members and all of our stakeholders as we look to take the club forward in what is an exciting time for cricket."
