The New Zealander represented rivals Lancashire in the competition last season, scoring 399 runs in 13 appearances at the top of the order
Yorkshire have signed Finn Allen for the 2022 T20 Blast.
The New Zealand international will link up with the club from the sixth match of the competition until the end of the group stage.
His arrival coincides with the departure of fellow overseas signings Haris Rauf and Shabah Khan. Rauf is only available for the first five matches of the T20 Blast while Khan will play 11 matches either side of his international commitments.
Allen is expected to make his Yorkshire debut on June 6, when the Vikings host Notts Outlaws at Headingley.
The 22-year-old, a top-order batter, has made 51 T20 appearances across his career, scoring 1,537 runs at 32.02. 156 of those runs have come in six T20Is for New Zealand while he also has 399 T20 Blast runs to his name after playing 13 matches for Lancashire Lightning in 2021.
However, it is his strike rate which makes him so desirable on the T20 circuit. An explosive opener, Allen’s career strike rate in the format is 175.65.

His arrival will add yet more firepower to Yorkshire’s batting line-up, with regular opener Tom Kohler-Cadmore, Harry Brook and Jordan Thompson all possessing T20 strike rates in excess of 135 and fellow overseas signing Khan boasting 1,695 T20 runs at a strike rate of 137.13.
Commenting on joining Yorkshire, Allen said: "I’m really looking forward to returning to county cricket for the upcoming Blast. I really enjoyed my first foray into the competition last season and am hungry to contribute to a successful campaign for Yorkshire.
"As luck would have it, I am currently spending a fair bit of time at RCB with David Willey, so it’s great to be able to establish that relationship prior to arriving."
Darren Gough, Yorkshire's interim managing director of cricket, added: "We have brought in Finn Allen who is an explosive batsman and very good young player. Finn will come here to replace Haris Rauf who we have for the Championship games early season and the first five Blast matches.
"Our signings to date will give us some excellent options in the Blast and I am thrilled to be able to add these talented players an already exciting squad."
