Hampshire have secured a contract extension with allrounder Felix Organ until 2024.

The 23-year-old, born in Sydney, had a deal until the end of last season but will now remain at The Ageas Bowl for another two summers.

Organ enjoyed a stellar 2022 campaign, scoring 866 runs across formats for Hants.

Of that figure, 726 came in the County Championship, making him the club's third-highest run-scorer behind James Vince and Nick Gubbins. He also took 16 wickets in all forms via his right-arm off-breaks.

A product of the south coast club's academy, Organ - who has played 55 times since his 2017 debut - is targetting a piece of silverware this coming season.

"Playing for Hampshire has been my whole life, so to be able to extend this journey means so much to me," he said.

"After an encouraging and successful season last year, we are now working towards growing and developing even further to secure even more success for this great club. Hopefully, we can win some more trophies in that time, and I can be a part of that."

Director of cricket Giles White added: "Felix is a versatile cricketer and infectious character who adds in equal measure both on and off the pitch.

"It's been great to see his development through the academy and into the senior side and we are delighted that he will remain at The Ageas Bowl for some time to come.

"His game continues to develop, and we look forward to seeing him build on an encouraging 2022."
