GEORGE DOBELL: The South African fast bowler, originally registered as a Kolpak player, was obliged to become an overseas player following the UK’s exit from the European Union
Duanne Olivier's time at Yorkshire could be over due to a contract disagreement.
The 29-year-old fast bowler originally joined the club on a Kolpak registration ahead of the 2019 season.
However, following the UK's exit from the European Union in 2020, all Kolpak contracts were cancelled and players were obliged to become overseas signings if they wished to play county cricket.
However, it is understood by The Cricketer that contractual disagreements between Olivier and Yorkshire have created a delay in his return to the club and he has been warned that his deal will be terminated.

Olivier has made 25 first-class appearances for Yorkshire since 2019, taking 75 wickets at 32.42. He has also picked up a further 14 white-ball wickets in as many appearances across the Royal London Cup and T20 Blast.
Since making his international debut in 2017, he has been capped 15 times by the Proteas, picking up 56 wickets in 13 Test appearances and three wickets in two ODIs. He was recently named in South Africa’s 15-strong Test squad to face Bangladesh later this month.
Although he's struggled to replicate his form from his debut season at Headingley - 43 red-ball wickets at 32.32 - his departure would be a blow for Yorkshire, depriving them of one of their senior pacers on the eve of the new season.
