The 21-year-old has twice enjoyed success with Lahore Qalandars and won the Lanka Premier League with Jaffna Kings. An expert in the final overs, he has represented his country in six T20Is
Derbyshire have expanded their overseas options for the T20 Blast with the addition of Pakistan international Zaman Khan.
The 21-year-old is a two-time Pakistan Super League champion with Lahore Qalandars and has played seven T20Is for his country.
A death-bowling specialist, the right-armer is available from late May as the Falcons pursue their maiden title. Their campaign begins against Lancashire on Saturday (May 20).
He joins a foreign contingent that includes countryman Haider Ali and former Sri Lanka seamer Suranga Lakmal, though sides are only permitted to field two in a single XI.
"Playing in England is something I’ve wanted to experience and to do it working with Mickey Arthur at Derbyshire is a dream scenario," he said.

"Derbyshire have been impressive in T20 cricket over the last few years, so I’m looking forward to playing with this squad and seeing if we can challenge again this summer."
The Mirpur native was a key component of the Qalandars side that retained their PSL title in March, taking 15 wickets - he claimed 18 the previous season - and delivered 106 dots ball - the joint-second most in the competition.
In the final, he defended 12 off the last over to help secure a one-run victory over Multan Sultans.
The deal sees a third Pakistani player head to the County Ground since Mickey Arthur became head of cricket.

Shan Masood was the chief overseas player in 2022, before Haider arrived as his replacement for this season.
Arthur was appointed Pakistan men team director in April, a role he will fulfil remotely during the English summer, three-and-a-half years on from his stint as head coach.
"Zaman Khan is one of the brightest young fast bowlers in Pakistan and he brings experience of T20 success around the world into our dressing room, which will help us to reach our own goals," said Arthur.
"He recently made his debut in one of the best international white ball attacks and looked right at home, so it's incredibly exciting to welcome him for our T20 campaign."
