Pettman has enjoyed previous loan stints with Derbyshire and Kent this season
Derbyshire have signed Toby Pettman on loan for the second time this season.
The Nottinghamshire seamer previously joined for a single County Championship appearance against Middlesex, in which he took three wickets.
A fortnight later, he was drafted in by Kent on a similar arrangement for their clash with Surrey.
His latest deal with Derbyshire will see him face Durham in the Division Two fixture that begins on Monday.
"Due to the intense nature of the fixture schedule, and a few knocks and niggles within our seam bowling department, we felt it was necessary to bring Toby back in and get some fresh energy into the attack," said Mickey Arthur, Derbyshire's head of cricket.
"Toby really impressed us against Middlesex, and he will have another big opportunity against Durham to showcase his ability in first-class cricket."

Pettman added: "I really enjoyed my first stint with Derbyshire, it's a great group of players and I'm excited to join up with the squad again for the Durham fixture.
"It's another chance for me to gain experience against a top opposition, hopefully I can help Derbyshire to what would be another important win."
