The seamer pulled up with a hamstring injury just seven balls into his debut for the county but has since recovered to play a part in Derbyshire's draw with Glamorgan
Derbyshire have extended the loan of Ryan Sidebottom for a further month.
The Warwickshire seamer was signed on a short-term basis ahead of the start of the season, with Derbyshire struggling with injuries among their bowlers. But there were immediate fears when he pulled up with a hamstring problem just seven balls into his debut against Middlesex at Lord's.
He returned against Glamorgan, however, and picked up four wickets in a thrilling draw with the Welsh county.
"Ryan has not played as much as we'd have liked so far due to injury, but his attitude has been great and his performance at a critical time in the Glamorgan match shows what he brings to our attack," said Mickey Arthur, Derbyshire's head of cricket.
"All of our bowlers have done well in our opening four games, and having Ryan with us for another month means we have good depth heading into an intense period of games."

The extension means Sidebottom will be available for two further LV= Insurance County Championship matches and the first four T20 Blast fixtures of the campaign.
Sidebottom added: "It was disappointing to go down with an injury so early into my spell with Derbyshire, but getting back on the field and taking wickets against Glamorgan was a huge boost for me.
"Now I want to put together a run of games and show what I can do, we've got some big matches coming up and I think our bowlers will have a big say in how we perform, I want to be part of that."
