The 28-year-old England seamer made his debut for the county in 2012
England seamer Craig Overton has signed a three-year contract extension with Somerset, which will keep him at the club until at least the end of the 2026 season.
The 28-year-old's deal was due to expire at the end of the coming season.
Overton has been at the county since coming through Somerset's academy as a 16-year-old, making his debut in April 2012 in a County Championship match against Lancashire.
"I'm delighted to sign this long extension with the club," said Overton. "Somerset fans know how much the club means to me and that I’m hungry for team success.
"There is still lots to achieve, not least the holy grail of a County Championship title. We've made some impressive signings since last season, and we're excited and hopeful that the next few years will prove to be most enjoyable and fruitful for all concerned."

The England international has played more than 200 matches for the county in all formats, scoring over 3,800 runs and taking more than 500 wickets.
The bowling allrounder made his debut for England against Australia in the Ashes in 2017. Overton took four wickets on his debut, including the wicket of Steve Smith. Overall, he has played for England in eight Tests, taking 21 wickets. Additionally, he has played seven ODIs and holds an ECB pace development contract.
Somerset director of cricket Andy Hurry added: "Year in, year out, Craig Overton is one of this country's leading performers. He is consistently amongst the best players within the domestic game, and this has quite rightly been rewarded with international recognition.
"He is a genuine match-winner across the formats of the game, and it has been a real pleasure for us all to watch his journey and his progression over the course of his time with us thus far."
