New Road (third day of four): Worcestershire 264 & 34-1, Sussex 373 - Worcestershire trail by 75 runs with nine second-innings wickets in hand
Sussex's hopes of pushing for victory on day three of the LV= Insurance County Championship match with Worcestershire at New Road were frustrated by the weather after a total wash-out.
Heavy morning rain led to the inevitable decision of umpires Peter Hartley and Chris Watts to abandon play for the day at 2.50pm with puddles on the outfield.
Sussex had established a first innings of 109 thanks to captain Cheteshwar Pujara's third hundred of the campaign during which he passed 1,500 runs for his adopted county in only his 12th match.
They removed Worcestershire opener Jake Libby cheaply yesterday evening and the home side will resume the final day on 34 for 1 – still 75 in arrears. England pace bowler Ollie Robinson will be looking to add to his eight wickets in the game, including 7 for 59 in Worcestershire's first innings.

Derby (third day of four): Leicestershire 122, Derbyshire 350-7d - Derbyshire lead by 228 runs
Derbyshire were frustrated by rain which washed out most of the third day of the LV= Insurance County Championship match against Leicestershire at Derby.
The home side batted on in the morning to secure a third batting point before declaring on 350 for 7, a lead of 228.
But before Leicestershire could begin their second innings, the rain set in and play was called off for the day after a pitch inspection at 5pm.
At least the forecast for Sunday is more encouraging so Derbyshire's bowlers should have a full day to try and secure a first victory of the season.

Headingley (third day of four): Glamorgan 245 & 352-4d, Yorkshire 106 - Yorkshire need 492 runs to win
Australian Test star Marnus Labuschagne posted his seventh century in the LV= Insurance County Championship for Glamorgan - a brilliant unbeaten 170 - as he led their push for victory on day three against Yorkshire at Headingley.
Labuschagne has regularly returned to Wales since first joining the county in 2019 - this is his fourth season as their overseas player.
And on this occasion showed all his class and innovation as he warmed up for this summer's Ashes with a 207-ball knock including 24 fours and a straight six, setting Yorkshire a victory target of 492 at tea.
The world number one ranked Test batter, aged 28, returned to the crease at the start of play unbeaten on seven, alongside third-wicket partner Sam Northeast on nought. From 57 for 2, the pair went on complete a 148 partnership, with Northeast making 66.
He later shared an unbroken 130 with fifth-wicket partner Billy Root (51 not out) in his side's 352 for 4 declared. Rain at tea then prevented Yorkshire's chase from starting. Play was abandoned for the day at 5.45pm.
