Ben Green has signed a one-year extension with Somerset, committing his future to the club until at least the end of the 2024 season.
The 25-year-old, who captains Somerset in the Royal London Cup, impressed for the club in white-ball cricket in 2022, scoring a List A career-best 157 against Durham and leading the wicket-taking charts in the T20 Blast.
He picked up Somerset's white-ball player of the year gong for his efforts.

The allrounder has scored over 1,000 runs and taken 50 wickets in all formats since making his debut in 2016.
Green said: "I'm very happy to have signed on until the end of 2024. It's great that Somerset are showing faith in me because I love the club and I want to stay on and win trophies here. I'm hugely proud to play for Somerset and I want to keep doing that.
"With the way that the squad is shaping up. I think we're going to have a really good shot at competing for all three trophies in the next few years. We've got good depth and we've seen some good recruitment, so I think it's going to be a really competitive year for us next year and beyond."
Somerset director of cricket, Andy Hurry, said: "Over the last few years, we have all seen Ben's development really accelerate and he is working hard to become a genuine multi-format allrounder.
"We have also been impressed with the leadership attributes that he has demonstrated, and we have seen real growth in this area since undertaking the responsibilities of leading the Royal London Cup squad.
"He has an excellent temperament and his commitment to develop every facet of his game on a daily basis is an excellent example for everyone connected to the club. His development both on and off the field has been outstanding during his time as a professional, and we look forward to seeing him continue to flourish over the next couple of seasons and beyond."
