The 26-year-old, former Glamorgan batter will remain at the Ageas Bowl for the next two summers after being rewarded for a decent return to the first team
Hampshire batter Aneurin Donald has signed a new contract with Hampshire until the end of 2024, following some excellent form last season.
Donald was signed in 2018 initially on loan from Glamorgan, where he came through the ranks. The move was then made permanent before the 2019 season.
He missed the 2020 and 2021 campaigns following a horrific anterior cruciate ligament injury, but recovered well last summer, featuring across the County Championship, Royal London Cup and T20 Blast.
The batter scored 398 runs at an average of 28.43 in Division One, with a best of 94 against Northamptonshire.

He added 227 runs in the 50-over competition, including a brutal 76 from 36 balls against Yorkshire in the group stages.
The Welshman originally returned to the second XI to build up match fitness, before making the long-awaited return to the first team.
"I'm extremely excited, especially off the back of such a successful year in 2022," he said.
"After such a couple dark years with my injury, it's been amazing to get back on the pitch, with the help and support of the club, and I hope I can repay the faith they have shown in me.

"It has definitely become like my second home down at The Ageas Bowl, so I’m looking to another two years."
Director of cricket Giles White added: "Aneurin has an imposing presence at the crease and has the rare ability to shift the course of a game in a short space of time.
"He is a selfless team player and has become an extremely popular and important player at the club. We are delighted to have secured his services for the next couple of years."
