Yorkshire allrounder Adam Lyth will not be permitted to bowl in ECB competitions until he has passed a re-evaluation, after an assessment discovered his action to be illegal.
Lyth was cited by the umpires during the Vitality Blast semi-final against Lancashire Lightning at Edgbaston on July 16.
Following the report, the 34-year-old's action was examined at Loughborough University, where it was established that his elbow extension exceeded the permitted 15 degrees.

Lyth will now need to undergo remedial work on his bowling action and pass an independent assessment before he is allowed to take the ball in competitive action.
An occasional off-spinner, Lyth has taken 67 wickets across all formats during his career.
He is currently playing for Northern Superchargers in The Hundred.
