Edgbaston (day four of four): Somerset 215 & 90-2, Warwickshire 273 - match drawn
Warwickshire finished fourth and Somerset sixth in the LV=Insurance County Championship Division One after their game at Edgbaston ended in the expected rain-ruined draw.
To the bemusement of the spectators, sitting in sunshine which had bathed the ground since dawn, play was called off for the final day - and the match abandoned - just after lunch when the umpires ruled that areas of the field remained unsafe.
That scuppered any hopes those spectators had of some entertainment on their last visit to Edgbaston until April 2024.

Somerset's second innings remains forever frozen on 90 for 2 and a match which had been dogged by bad weather throughout was finally laid to rest – ironically in sparkling weather.
Earlier in the match, Somerset were beholden to a half-century from No.10 Neil Wagner (72 off 78), whose ninth-wicket stand with Josh Davey ensured they recovered from 96 for 8 to post 215.
Warwickshire replied with 273, with Ed Barnard, who picked to 2 for 42 with the ball in Somerset's first innings to complement Chris Rushworth's 5 for 47, top-scoring with 73 (144).
Sean Dickson (36 off 84) and Andy Umeed (20 off 39) were the unbeaten players in Somerset's second innings, with Barnard collecting another two wickets.
