Fixture: Worcestershire vs Warwickshire
Venue: New Road, Worcester
Dates: Sunday, July 11, 2021 - Wednesday, July 14, 2021
Start time: 11am
What's the lowdown?
Of the side bidding to qualify for the championship group, Warwickshire are perhaps the best placed. While Durham and Notts battle it out at Chester-le-Street, Mark Robinson's side face a Worcestershire side whose fate is all-but secure.
Six points behind Notts and nine ahead of Durham, a win will guarantee them a place in the top two and could even be enough for the top spot.
Worcestershire meanwhile are virtually assured of a place in the bottom division and could see a handsome victory and a defeat for champions Essex to stand any chance of improving on fifth.
Their only win in the campaign came against bottom side Derbyshire in late May, winning by an innings and 23 runs at New Road.
Who's in form?
Jake Libby is the second-highest run-scorer in the Championship with 776 runs at 64.66 and has hit three centuries and a trio of fifties in 14 innings.
Wickets have been spread quite evenly around the team, with Dillon Pennington and Ed Barnard having taken 15 each. Alzarri Joseph also took 15 during his spell at New Road.
Warwickshire's campaign has been led by Sam Hain's 504 runs, but Rob Yates has proved himself to be both dogged and has reached three figures on three occasions.
Liam Norwell has led the way in a bowling department decimated by injury, claiming 24 scalps. Will Rhodes' 19 wickets have been welcome too.

Who said what?
Warwickshire captain Will Rhodes has urged his side to put their injury problems aside and secure qualification for the next phase.
Tim Bresnan, Danny Briggs, Henry Brookes, Olly Hannon-Dalby, Olly Stone, Chris Woakes and Dan Mousley are all missing for a variety of reasons, blowing a hole in the team's bowling attack at a crucial time in the season.
Rhodes said: "It will be tough game. We have a few key people unavailable and we have got to go again after last night, which was very disappointing, but we know there is a place in Super September at stake. Training today has got our heads back around red ball cricket again and we will be ready for four days against the Pears.
"Hopefully we can make the running and play some good cricket and, if we can do that, it will give us a lot of confidence going into the two huge T20s next weekend. Last night was a setback, of course, but this time next weekend we could still have qualified in two competitions."
