Fixture: Durham v Nottinghamshire
Venue: Emirates Riverside, Chester-le-Street
Dates: Sunday, July 11, 2021 - Wednesday, July 14, 2021
Start time: 11am
What's the lowdown?
Two sides fighting it out for a place in the championship group.
Notts start the round top of Group One on 137 points, 15 ahead of third-place Durham knowing that avoiding defeat at Chester-le-Street will be enough to progress.
Durham after nine points adrift of second-place Warwickshire meaning they need at least a draw with a handful of bonus points to stand a chance of qualifying, though that would require favours from elsewhere.
Who's in form?
David Beddingham is the leading batter in the Championship having scored 879 runs at an average of 79.90 and was ably assisted by Alex Lees (521 runs) before injury ruined his campaign.
Durham's leading wicket-taker barely need any introduction. Chris Rushworth has been as good as ever on his way to 42 wickets in the Championship.
He will go up against the only other bowler with more, Luke Fletcher, who is bidding to become the first to 50 this season. Dane Paterson has shown form in fits and starts while when Stuart Broad has been available he naturally more than just held up an end.
Underpinning that attack has been a batting line-up possessing real depth. Three players have more than 500 runs to their name

Who's said what?
Dane Paterson says qualification for the championship division would be just reward for the hard work Nottinghamshire have put in this season.
“Getting into the top division would be a major reward for a lot of hard work. We have been playing to our strengths, and the mentality we have approached games with has been great," he said.
"We have been playing on wickets which have probably favoured bowlers, so for our batters to go as well as they have is a great sign. That DNA is a recipe for success.
“As for facing Durham, we will focus on ourselves, and continue doing the things we have done well. It is nice that some of the pressure has been lifted with that Derbyshire win, and we go up to the Riverside with confidence.”
