The search for the UK's Greenest Cricket Ground is back for 2025, with support once again from Ortus Energy. Ortus specialise in funded solar energy solutions making this sponsorship a fantastic fit. In more good news, the winners this year will take back to their club £500.

Fillongley Cricket Club, in Warwickshire, won last year’s prize for their work on their ground – including transforming a once-neglected pond into a habitat for wildlife to thrive, the creation of a wildflower meadow,  and even building a community orchard of apple, pear, peach, cherry and almond trees where club members will be able to help themselves as the fruits and nuts ripen.

The competition was introduced with the aim of celebrating the amazing efforts of cricket people, in creating, protecting and promoting sustainability and biodiversity at their clubs.

It  is open to all clubs, even if you've only just started on your journey to become more sustainable or biodiverse. Perhaps you've left an area of your ground wild, your junior squad do litter picking, you've planted some native trees or invested in an electric mower. We'd love to hear from you, whether you're an urban oasis in a big city, or a rural hideaway between farmers' fields.

To enter, fill in the form below (can't see the form? open in new window here). The closing date for entries is August 31. Good luck!
