This year, The Cricketer is celebrating its 100th birthday, and we want the help of county cricket fans in commemorating the moment.

We are running public votes to find each county's County Championship team of the past century - from 1921 until the present day.

We've nominated a shortlist of batsmen, bowlers, wicketkeepers and allrounders, all you have to do is choose your favourites (you can also suggest players who have not made the cut).

Vote for your Surrey team of the centenary below!

How can Sylvester Clarke not be included? The meanest fast bowler in the 80’s.

Alec in as wk and of course John Berry are gimmees, J H, K F, GP, men for all seasons and Alistair to take the game from the oppo during the afternoon session.Priveleged to have seen Geoff and Pat make their #Rey debuts.Jim Laker I saw as a kid but got to know later in life as we discussed cricket and gee-gees over a pint, and Martin Bicknell, a fast- medium craftsman.A bias to those who came through the #Rey ranks and those I have seen play , so many greats excluded but hey- ho

The most incredible side that Surrey ever had was the golden period of winning the county championship seven times from 1952-58. and so it seemed imperative to chose the quartet of Alec Bedsor, Peter Loader, Tony Lock and Jim Laker and the best bat I ever saw Peter May. Jack Hobbs was the Master and alt6hough he is a batsman from the past he surely has to be in any world eleven. Percy Fender great captain and allrounder in days when the Oval Pitches were dead was the all rounder for over ten years and so i plumbed for him. It was important to choose players from every era and in the sixties and seventies John Edrich was the best opening batsman for Surrey.. Nearer to timer Graham Thorpe stood out in the same way that Peter May did in being the most amazing bat on all wickets. As wicket keeper Jack Richards I saw a lot and his wicket keeping to all type of bowlers and no mean bat and wicket keeper in all competitions which the others did not made me choose him. I feel my chosen team would be a match winner and entertaining to watch..
