Birmingham Phoenix host Welsh Fire in the next match of the women's Hundred 2023.
The game is due to start at 3pm BST on Thursday, August 10.
Birmingham Phoenix's home ground is Edgbaston in Birmingham.
Birmingham Phoenix will be eager to bounce back against Welsh Fire, following their loss to Manchester Originals on Monday. Phoenix batted first and posted a 87 which the Originals chased it down with ease, winning by five wickets. Phoenix were extremely poor with the bat, with Sophie Devine's 27 the only contribution of note. So far in the competition, Phoenix have lost two games and had the other abandoned due to bad weather.
Welsh Fire have enjoyed a brilliant start to their 2023 Hundred campaign. They cruised to their second victory of the competition when they defeated Oval Invincibles by three wickets with 20 balls remaining. Fire put in a ruthless bowling performance, with Shabnim Ismail taking three wickets and Georgia Elwiss, Alex Griffiths, Freya Davies and Claire Nicholas all contributing with the ball to bowl the home side out for 80 off 98 deliveries.
Birmingham Phoenix will be heavily reliant on Sophie Devine to put on a good score with the bat; her challenge will be negotiating the in-form Shabnim Ismail.
