Fire put in a ruthless bowling performance, with Shabnim Ismail taking three wickets and Georgia Elwiss, Alex Griffiths, Freya Davies and Claire Nicholas all contributing with the ball to bowl the home side out for 80 off 98 deliveries.
Birmingham Phoenix will be heavily reliant on Sophie Devine to put on a good score with the bat; her challenge will be negotiating the in-form Shabnim Ismail.
