The 28-year-old claimed 20 wickets during the last campaign but has signed a two-year deal with the 2018/19 winners
Melbourne Renegades have completed the signing of Tom Rogers from Hobart Hurricanes on a two-year deal ahead of the new Big Bash League season.
Rogers claimed 20 wickets for Hobart Hurricanes last season, making him the joint fourth-highest in BBL|11 alongside Rashid Khan.
Previously at Sydney Sixers, the 28-year-old joins a Renegades side who have finished bottom in the regular season in each of the past two campaigns.
"I'm excited for the opportunity to come across to Melbourne and to play a role for the 'Gades," said Rogers, whose BBL wickets come at 26.17 apiece.
"Hopefully I can continue to play a similar role to what I did last year in the Big Bash and help support some talented younger players on the list.
"I’ve played a fair bit of cricket against guys like Kane Richardson, Shaun Marsh and Aaron Finch, so I’m keen to now share a dressing room with them and see how they go about it.

"Things came together quite nicely for me last Big Bash. It's good to have those memories and moments of success to draw upon and hopefully, I can keep building on that this season in red."
The Tasmania allrounder joins a squad captained by Nic Maddinson that also includes Finch, Marsh, Richardson, Jake Fraser-McGurk and Mackenzie Harvey.
Renegades general manager James Rosengarten added: "He's coming off a fantastic Big Bash, where he proved to be a strong wicket-taker and regularly took on the challenge of bowling some of the most difficult overs in the innings.
"Tom's a competitor and brings a real team-first approach. With his experience, we see him alongside Kane Richardson as being an important part of the bowling group we're building for the next couple of years."
