Chris Green has signed the longest deal in Big Bash history after committing to six seasons with Sydney Thunder.
Spinner Green has withdrawn himself from state cricket in Australia, instead opting to travel the world as a T20 freelancer.
The 26-year-old has an economy of 6.72 from his 75 short-form career matches, and is a useful lower-order hitter.
And Thunder have decided he is worth investing substantial time and money.

"Thunder was the first team that backed me when I was playing grade cricket, so to lock in my future with the club is really exciting," Green said.
"It's not often you have security, so for me to get that with a club that I love, I'm really excited and very grateful for this opportunity to continue to represent Thunder into the future."
Green retains international aspirations and is expected to come under consideration by the Australia selectors for next year's home T20 World Cup.
