Sixty-eight players have declared an interest in being involved in the inaugural overseas draft, which takes place on August 28
The Big Bash League is set to be flooded with English stars again after 68 players declared an interest in next month's inaugural overseas player draft.
Liam Livingstone, Alex Hales, Laurie Evans and Ollie Pope are the headline names who will all be considered by the eight teams.
Nineteen of the group have previously been capped by England across the formats, including Jake Ball, Danny Briggs, Brydon Carse, Mason Crane, Liam Dawson, Richard Gleeson, Lewis Gregory, Matt Fisher, Matt Parkinson, David Payne, Matthew Potts, Olly Stone and Luke Wood.
All franchises can deploy a single retention pick from last season's overseas roster at any stage during the draft.
This applies to nine Englishman: Joe Clarke (Melbourne Stars), Ian Cockbain (Adelaide Strikers), Jordan Cox (Hobart Hurricanes), Evans (Perth Scorchers), George Garton (Adelaide Strikers), Hales (Sydney Thunder), Tymal Mills (Perth Scorchers), Reece Topley (Melbourne Renegades) and James Vince (Sydney Sixers).
But with other competitions overlapping the BBL, which runs from December 13 to February 12, teams must balance whether to commit a draft pick and a substantial fee - players earn between $340,000 (£195,599) and $100,000 (£57,527) - in the knowledge they could then depart mid-way through the campaign.
New T20 tournaments in the United Arab Emirates and South Africa are scheduled to take place in January and February 2023.
England's winter commitments see them in Pakistan for a three-Test tour that concludes just before Christmas. They are not due to be back in international action until the tour of New Zealand in mid-February, leaving a window for franchise cricket.

White-ball only players will be available for the duration while there are a handful of county players who will be eager for some overseas exposure.
The headline entrants from the domestic game include England Under-19 World Cup finalist Rehan Ahmed, Middlesex's T20 captain Stephen Eskinazi, Jack Haynes of Worcestershire, Nottinghamshire captain skipper Steven Mullaney, Glamorgan left-armer Prem Sisodiya and Saif Zaib of Northamptonshire.
A total of 98 players have been confirmed for the draft, which takes place on August 28, though organisers say in excess of 170 have submitted an interest.
Sides must pick a minimum of two and a maximum of three players, and must pass in at least one round.
Last week, Melbourne Renegades were drawn to pick first in the draft having finished bottom of the pile in each of the last two competitions.
