WILL DUFFIELD: Couch was one of only two players to play in every match for the Stars last season, taking 16 wickets
Brody Couch has signed a two-year contract extension with Melbourne Stars.
Couch burst onto the scene in last year's Big Bash, taking 16 wickets in 14 games and finishing top of the wicket-taking charts for the Stars. In his debut season, he was one of only two players to feature in every match for the Covid-hit side.
Across these games, Couch had an average of 22.06, an economy rate of 8.21, and best figures of 3 for 30 - taken against Hobart Hurricanes.
Commenting on his contract extension, Couch said: "From the very first moment I walked into the Stars setup, I just wanted to learn as much as possible from the coaching staff and elite players at the club.

"I was lucky enough to be given an opportunity early in the season and I was pleased to be able to contribute to the team's success.
"A highlight of being part of the Stars family is playing at the MCG and I can't wait to play in front of some big crowds there in BBL12."
General manager, Blair Crouch, added: "Brody proved himself to be up to the task very early in BBL11 when he made his debut and we're thrilled to have secured his services for the next two years.
"He is nothing but a professional and deserves everything that comes his way, his work ethic and attention to detail were a standout in BBL11.
"We are looking forward to having Brody as part of the Stars family for at least the next two years."
