Hobart Hurricanes host Adelaide Strikers in the 22nd game of the 2021-22 Big Bash.
The game is set for Monday, December 27. The first ball will be bowled at 6.05pm local time (7.05am GMT).
The game will be held at Hobart's Blundstone Arena.
After winning just one of their opening four matches - a 44-run DLS win over Sydney Sixers - the Hobart Hurricanes defeated a star-studded Melbourne Stars outfit to climb up to fourth in the table.
Hosting the Stars in Tasmania, Ben McDermott scored a 43-ball 67 to help his side post an intimidating total of 180 for 6. Riley Meredith (3 for 32), Tom Rogers (3 for 29) and Nathan Ellis (2 for 27) then starred with the ball to help restrict the Stars to 156 for 9 and complete a 24-run victory.
Adelaide Strikers, meanwhile, are struggling in the bottom half of the table with just one win from their five matches to date. In their most recent outing, the Strikers suffered a 39-run defeat at the hands of Brisbane Heat.
Interestingly, both sides have been very good with the bat in the opening 10 overs, collecting four Bash Boost points apiece. Expect an explosive start to both innings.

With both sides picking up four Bash Boost points and clearly excelling in the powerplay, it's going to be a tough day at the offer for both sets of opening bowlers.
For the Hurricanes, Meredith, Rogers and Ellis will be the key early bowlers. The trio have taken 19 wickets combined in BBL11 and Meredith and Rogers are their side's second and fourth-most economical bowlers. Meredith has an economy of 6.60 from his two innings while Rogers is conceding 7.6 runs per over. Spinner Sandeep Lamichhane could also chip in with an over early on.
For the Strikers, the regular powerplay trio are Peter Siddle, George Garton and Rashid Khan. Pace bowlers Garton and Siddle have 11 wickets combined but are both conceding more than nine runs per over. Rashid, meanwhile, has taken nine wickets for 141 runs in 20 overs.
Worryingly for the Strikers, Hobart's batters have all shown good form in BBL11. McDermott enters the match off the back of a half-century against the Stars while Matthew Wade (169 runs, one half-century) is scoring at 153.63. Tim David (22 off 12) was also in good touch against the Stars and with Harry Brook for company in the middle order, it won't be as simple as removing Hobart's openers.
Simon Lightbody and Sam Nogajski are the men in the middle for this one.
Cloudy conditions and temperatures in the mid-teens are forecast for Hobart. No rain is expected.

Hobart Hurricanes have winning momentum and should be too strong for the Strikers with Wade and McDermott in form.
