What a disappointment. Everything Gould said about The Hundred and its positives for female players is true, but he misses the point that it's not because of the 100 ball format. If the T20 Blast had been put on terrestrial TV, given the same marketing budget and played with men's and women's double headers, it would have done exactly the same for the women's game. Not one other country is interested in the format of The Hundred, it eats up way too much of the prime part of the season and does nothing to get all these new fans it apparently brings in interested in the other forms of the game.
