Australia have announced a 23-man squad for the white-ball tour of West Indies in July - with seven players now likely to miss at least the start of The Hundred.

Adam Zampa, Glenn Maxwell, Jhye Richardson, Aaron Finch, David Warner, Marcus Stoinis and D'Arcy Short have all been included in the party for the five T20 internationals and three ODIs which run between July 9-24.

The series concludes in Barbados two days after the start of the men's edition of The Hundred (July 22), the ECB's new 100-ball competition delayed from last year.

At best, coupled with a quarantine period lasting 10 days as the Caribbean island sits on the UK's amber travel list, players would likely miss the opening fortnight of the tournament if they chose to travel.

Limited overs matches against Bangladesh could yet be added to the schedule in an effort to ramp up preparation for the T20 World Cup in October and November.

Players already have to self-isolate in a government-approved hotel for two weeks upon their return home to Australia. Five-time World Cup winner Rachael Haynes has pulled out of the women's version and others could follow.

It is unclear what will become of Zampa and Short, who have T20 Blast contracts with Essex and Hampshire respectively this summer but have been selected for the West Indies tour. Marnus Labuschagne, currently playing for Glamorgan, was overlooked for selection after Cricket Australia were unable to find a solution to "logistical complexities" and will remain in the UK.

Chris Lynn and Nathan Coulter-Nile are the other Australians with contracts in The Hundred but they are not in their country's international plans.

Australia's touring party will be vaccinated prior to leaving for the West Indies after their Tokyo-bound Olympic athletes were granted advanced access to jabs.

"It was great to see our Olympians receiving their vaccination shots ahead of the Tokyo Games and we are working through logistics for the Australian men's team with the relevant agencies," said CA executive general manager of national teams Ben Oliver.

"We will comply with all government directives in relation to vaccinations and international travel."

Australia squad: Aaron Finch (c), Ashton Agar, Jason Behrendorff, Alex Carey, Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, Moises Henriques, Mitchell Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, Riley Meredith, Josh Philippe, Jhye Richardson, Kane Richardson, Tanveer Sangha, D'Arcy Short, Steven Smith, Mitchell Starc, Marcus Stoinis, Mitchell Swepson, Andrew Tye, Matthew Wade, David Warner, Adam Zampa
