Generally a fair assessment but a few words in defence of Bairstow.His keeping did improve as the series went along and his confidence returned and ultimately he did make 25 dismissals which is equal ten in the all time records for a 5 match series.

Although an interesting article the scoring seems a little uneven. Anderson’s return surely merits an E if Carey scores an E. And Bairstow was so poor behind the stumps then he should receive a D. Very hard on Robinson and Hazlewood as well.
