Why, WHY do we faff about with county, 2nd team & Minor County cricket ?? Why not have a pyramid system li k e every other cricket playing nation have whereby you DON'T have to give up your day job , yet still rise up & up & up &, at 18 or 28 yrs of age you can be selected for your country ? AND ..it would be so simple to organise . Div 1 of county cricket can be full time . DIV 2 played every friday ,sat & sunday & the minor counties become div 4 & 5 , also played on Friday sat & Sunday... simples ... cricket
