Afghanistan Cricket Board chief executive Lutfullah Stanikzai has been sacked.
In a letter of termination, Stanikzai was told that he was being relieved of his duties as a result of "mismanagement, unsatisfactory performance and his misbehaviour with the board managers".
Stanikzai took up the role in July last year, having previously been the board's media manager, and had signed a three-year contract.
He told ESPNcricinfo that he learned about his dismissal via social media.
"I spoke to a [ACB] board member and was told that they are not aware" Stanikzai he said. "According to ACB constitution, the CEO is appointed by the board and any decision concerning the CEO should be done by the board."
In a statement, the ACB claimed Stanikzai had been previously warned as to his conduct.
