Hampshire have confirmed Sam Northeast has signed a new contract until 2022.
The 31-year-old will take his stay at The Ageas Bowl into a fifth season as a result of the extension.
Since arriving on the south coast from Kent, Northeast has played 30 first-class, 12 List A and 35 T20s for Hants, scoring 2,838 runs across formats.
"I’ve enjoyed some brilliant moments so far here at Hampshire and I’m really pleased to sign a new contract extension," said Northeast, who won the One-Day Cup with Hampshire in his first season with the club in 2018.
"We’ve got a talented squad that is ready to compete in all formats so there’s excitement about what we can achieve as a group over the next few years – hopefully, the best is still to come."
Director of cricket Giles White added: "We're delighted that Sam has agreed to a new contract extension. He's one of the standout players in the county game and continues to push for higher honours.
"With his ability and record across all formats, I'm sure he will continue to progress and win games for Hampshire over the coming seasons."
